Would you like to read what lead up to that deadly moment?

He was still sitting there when a woman with long dark brown hair entered.
“Sophia sent me.” She came near, tipped her head to the side, and exposed her neck.
Nicholas shunned the offer as presented, drawing her into his lap instead. “And you are?” He nuzzled her ear and stroked her hip. She carried the tang of men and women. He smelled sex on her, and wanted it for himself.
Her voice softened to a rasp. “Cordelia. Please, sir.”
She said nothing more. His hands continued to explore as he asked, “Please, what?” He’d foolishly thought four nights of encounters would dull the urge.
Sophia’s words came back to him, advising what he should do, how to keep the demon from rising as his hunger did. He nipped the whore’s ear, making her jump.
Her blood was rich and thick. A few drops coated his tongue, but it was enough to awaken his thirst.
“Please, keep touching me,” Cordelia begged, her fingers opening his shirt. Nicholas continued to suck her lobe long after the wound closed. He tried to focus on not opening another, not biting into her neck.
She twisted, sliding her legs around his hips and rubbing herself on him. He opened his pants and lifted her skirt, needing the contact she sought. Once they had it, she pulled his head to her breast.
“Drink, sir. Make me burn for you.”
Hunger and thirst grew in tandem. He sucked at a new bite over her breast, swallowing while he thrust his hips.
“Yes, yes!” Her toes curled, gripping his back as she squeezed around him. He kept pushing into her, drinking until she shouted, “Stop! Enough!” The second word was hushed as she went limp in his arms.
He pulled his mouth away as another woman threw open the door. She rushed to his side with a speed only another vampire could possess. Her eyes sparkled like amber. This was Sophia’s companion, Lynn. She touched the girl in several places before lifting her off Nicholas. In the silence, they could both hear Cordelia’s steady heartbeat.
“She’ll be fine,” the vampire assured Nicholas.

Now... all those other teases!

Hello! Thank you for this opportunity to talk about my new release Saving Reese and help my readers get to know me better.

Tell us about your title featured in this set:
The title Saving Reese pays homage to a certain sexy neurosurgeon I worked with many years ago. I was a first year nurse on the surgical floor and he (the doctor) had been in a horrible accident and had been assigned to me. While no sparks flew (on his end), meeting and working with him left a lasting impression.

Tell us something about yourself:
I was born in Havana, Cuba to a musician father from Puerto Rico and Spanish flamenco dancer, my mother. I was raised in Spain but have called the US home for two decades. I now live in the suburbs of Chicago with my four children. Prior to writing full-time, I was a nurse. The first decade of my career was spent on the medical floors of hospitals. The second and last decade was spent working one-on-one with hospice patients. I loved every minute of it, the ups and downs included, but after a tough divorce (and marriage), I decided it was time to fulfill a lifetime dream and jumped into writing full-time right out the gate. Since then, many lessons have been learned, but I wouldn’t change any of it for the world.

Tell us about your writing process:
I write early in the morning before my kids wake up and life’s distractions get in my way. I aim for a minimum word count of 2500 words daily. In order for the words to flow, I have to write with no noise whatsoever. No music. No television. No phone.

What is your favorite genre to read?
I’m an eclectic reader. I generally am reading several books at the same time. I always have a writing craft book on hand.

What would you say is the one thing are you most passionate about?
Learning. I love research. For some authors, research is tedious, but I absolutely love it.

When you are not writing, what do you like to do?
I spend most days (and nights) with my kids. We talk and laugh all the time while doing any number of things, from binge-watching shows to playing tennis or jogging as a family.

If someone who hasn’t read any your books asked you to describe your story in this set (the elevator pitch!) what would you say?
It’s the story of two people who’ve dedicated their lives to helping others at the expense of their love lives, but when their paths cross, the lines between doing what’s right and having everything they never knew they wanted are blurred.

Where can readers connect with you?

Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me. I can’t wait to share Saving Reese with you!

“Well, I’ll see you then and, by the way, I’m not afraid of a little spice,” she said before blushing.

“Neither am I,” I answered, hoping she and I were talking about the same thing.

We locked eyes, heat permeating between us. Her eyes radiated with fire as she stepped forward. I opened my arms to welcome her back into my embrace. As our lips touched, all of the day’s worries melted away. She and I were one and nothing else mattered.

I lifted her soft, curvy body and carried her down a small hallway in search of her bedroom.

As I laid her down on the bed, she inhaled, lifting her full breasts up into the air.

“Breathe,” I whispered as I positioned myself over her, hovering until she gave me a sign that she was ready.

She extended her arms, gently massaging the back of my neck with her smooth fingers. “I’ll try to remember that,” she whispered back.

My body writhed with heat and desire as her words sank in. “You’re so beautiful,” I hummed, feeling my body electrified by her gentle, knowing touch.

     “Hold me,” she begged.

I wanted to do far more than hold her, but I tempered my desire, steadied my anxious hands until I knew she nor I would be able to hold back any longer. “I’m here. I’ve got you,” I whispered into her luscious locks. “I’m not going anywhere. You’re safe.”

After a moment, I could feel her begin to relax. A gentle kiss on her cheek first, then a kiss on the neck, just below her jaw line. Her shoulders relaxed against the mattress. I moved up to her ear, taking it in between my teeth, tugging until I heard the familiar sound of pleasure escape her lips.

Still hovering over her, the lower half of my body begged to make contact with her, I willed myself to remain in the moment, enjoy the painstaking dance in full-on pleasure. As my hands skimmed down her silken skin, my erection grew larger and more animated, pulsating like the beat of a snare drum.

Tantalizing Tuesday #japanese #lesbian #kitsune Mom will know what to do

When it doubt, ask your Mom. Check all the teasers on our blog.

Eiko emerged with several changes of clothes, which she handed to Yuki once she’d reverted again to human form. She gave Yuki an extra bag as well. “I don’t have any money for you to pay for a place to stay.”
“I’ll find something,” Yuki said, snatching her belongings and walking away.
“Can I try finding you again?” Eiko called. “In a few days, next week?” The sadness and longing in her voice tore at Yuki’s heart.
“Yes,” she acquiesced, “in a week.”

Yuki skipped classes to take a train home. Her mother greeted her warmly. “You should have called! I would have had a snack ready for you.” The slightly shorter woman almost pushed Yuki through the door. “Are your classes finished already?”
“No,” Yuki admitted in a whisper. “I just…needed to talk to someone.”
Rather than admonish her, kaasan wrapped Yuki in a hug. “I remember needing my mother, too. You think you’re ready to leave home, and everything is going well, but eventually something happens that you just can’t handle alone. You don’t have to, Yu-chan.”
Yuki dropped the bag she was holding and clung to her mother, weeping with the hurt and betrayal she felt. “I-I thought. We were.”

Melody is looking off the pages for her own Christian Grey until a cocky paramedic redefines what a Dom is supposed to be.
Curtis, moving from scene to scene, doesn’t anticipate how Melody will worm her way into his life. Is he ready for a 24/7 relationship?
Angelica Dawson, bestselling Naughty Nights Press author, has been writing for several years and having sex a lot longer than that. Angelica is a wife, mother and environmental consultant. Her love of plants and the outdoors is not diminished by the bloodsucking hoards -- mosquitoes and black flies, not vampires. You can sample her wares by dropping by her blog:

I’m so happy to get to meet all of you! I hope you’ll find my inclusion, Cardiac Melody, is music to your heart!

Tell us about your title featured in this set:
Cardiac Melody tells the story of Melody and the Paramedic she falls for after literally falling for him. I liked the play between cardiac, of the heart, and the name, so I mushed them together. I’m Punny like that. When thinking about a medical romance, the BDSM side shouted, hey, how about a newbie that gets hurt and meets someone who can really show her the ropes (pun intended). It came together pretty quickly after that.

Tell us something about yourself:
I live in Edmonton, Alberta with my husband and daughter. My day jobs include environmental consultant and lunch supervisor, because, y’know, two jobs wasn’t enough. I do have a Science degree and my specialty is native plants. It’s a good thing school is out in July and August or I’d have no time to think!

Tell us about your writing process:
My stories all revolve around character. The basic plots come most often in the form of She is trying to convince Him of Conflict. As I build those characters, I often meet their friends, relatives, pets and other pressures that build the story. I tend to write chronologically, but when I hit a block, I try to jump ahead and then fill in the gap later.

What is your favorite genre to read?
Audiobooks. I have found my reading very spotty and my concentration isn’t always able to slow down to the pace I read. Audiobooks let my hands and analytical brain do other things so the rest can actually enjoy the story.

What would you say is the one thing are you most passionate about?
Leaving a better world for my daughter. I try to do that in the way I live, my job, and our family choices. For instance, we only have one car, which my husband needs to get to work (no buses that way). We walk to school and work. It’s one of the reasons I love ebooks. Save the trees and all that.

When you are not writing, what do you like to do?
There are several handicrafts I enjoy. Crochet, needlepoint and recently I’ve taken up adult coloring. It is wonderfully relaxing.

If someone who hasn’t read any your books asked you to describe your story in this set (the elevator pitch!) what would you say?
Fifty fan meets the Paramedic version of an upgraded Christian Grey.

Where can readers connect with you?
I post excerpts several times a week on my blog. You can get all sorts of sneak peeks there.
I’m also on facebook ( and twitter (

Thank you so much for listening to my rambling. I hope you enjoy all the great titles in this set. I know I have enjoyed working with the authors.
Alexa bent over his dining room table, ankles and wrists cuffed to canvas straps that connected them beneath it. Her nails scraped on the smooth surface as he spanked her again.

“You like that, don’t you?” he asked, running his nails down her back and over her heated rear. He teased along her slit, opening her lips slightly, and then spanking again.

“Mmm, yes, sir. Yipe!” She enjoyed his treatment even though the pain was mounting. It was time to make her come again. Using his large headed wand, he stimulated her until she was writhing and then slipped his fingers into her pussy.

So wet and slick, he worried he wasn’t firm enough, that he should add more fingers. Alexa didn’t complain though, grinding into fingers and vibrator, her ass shaking.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck, yes.”

“Yes, sir,” Curtis reminded her.

“Yes, sir,” she said in a drawl that fit her moaning. “Yes, sir. Yes, yes, sir.” She planted her forehead on the table as her core tightened, and her shaking switched to more languorous thrusting. Her cries changed too, from high pitched whining to a low grunt.

My Sexy Reunion ~ Reincarnation ~ Ethereal Protector @MySexySaturday #MySexySaturday #MySexyAuthors #Saturday7 #MSS155

The weekend is here! My sexy reunion is between two souls that never seemed to part. I've shared excerpt of Summer haunted by a ghost, but her ancestor, Mary, did some haunting of her own.

Facebook -  Amazon - All Romance Ebooks - Nook - iBooks - Kobo

Geoffrey hurried around the house, packing things into baskets and hauling them from her house to his parents’. Summer tried to ask him why he was moving so much, but he was too focused to hear her. Her answer came a few hours later when he led a man she didn’t recognize through the door.
“Clarice? Are you coming in?”
A woman with a protruding belly waddled up to them. “I’m so weary, Luke. This babe will not wait much longer.”
Luke. At the name she saw a resemblance in the man—the same wave in his hair, the same sharp chin—to her deceased husband. The rest of his features were her own. “Luke,” she murmured, covering her gasp with her hand.
“I’m surprised he waited to be born here. I thought you would birth him on the ship.”
“I’ll leave you to settle in.” Geoffrey turned to go.
Summer remained with the young couple, staring in wonder at her own ancestors. The feeling of the memory was different, opposite. The satisfaction in seeing her line continued.

Walking on the edge with the underbelly of society in the shadows of the night could be hazardous to your health…or worse—deadly.

Brianna Denton walked the night and crawled the pubs searching for her sister’s murderer. Drugs and alcohol drove her twin to prostitution in the shadows and rat holes of the underbelly of North Beach society.  Brianna lived her sister’s life on the tight edge of the raw reality until she pushed someone too hard, too fast.

Someone wanted her dead too.

Tatianna’s life drew Brianna into the bowels of the dark underground society, but to who’s destiny—her own or Tatianna’s?

He’d seen her on the streets, in the flea bag bars and pool halls the midnight scum frequented. She fascinated him with her Mediterranean beauty and her disdain. She was fast, unapologetic, but her curves were slow and yielding. He ached for her until one night slithered into the wee hours of the early morning at Blu’s Balls. The smoke in the pool hall hung in the air like a noose from the ceiling.

She wanted a bath but she wanted the blond-haired, blue-eyed man with the heart-shaped face and the gentle mouth more, first.

Dr Ben James recognized Brianna immediately when the EMT’s brought her into his ER. He hadn’t seen her since that night—the night she picked him.
Can he save her life? If he can’t, can he forget her?
Muffy, likened in style to one of the Bronte sisters and Anne Rice, is an award winning bestselling author of provocative romance about love, sex, hope and passion. An American author of the popular Shadow Seduction Series (a paranormal love story) and the Ribbons of Moonlight Series (a contemporary romance), she has penned a dozen other books and anthology collections.
Muffy was born in Texas to traditional parents. With two older brothers, she was the youngest, the family "princess," indulged and pampered. Her father was a career Colonel and pilot in the U.S. Air Force which required the family to travel extensively. Muffy spent her formative years in Europe and 'came of age' in France which forged her joie de vivre and love for books and writing. Married and living in the tropical paradise of SW Florida along the Gulf Coast, Muffy writes and enjoys life in the sun with her husband and wee Havanese pup, Burt.

Curling Up with Muffy and a Good Book

Important things first, are these sheets silk or cotton?

Ha!! When I was younger, aaaaaand single, they were always red silk sheets, like most of my underwear. It is a mindset. I was independent, self-reliant and did whatever I wanted whenever I wanted—pretty much like the men I worked with at the time. I was the Midwest Regional Director of the Real Estate and Construction Division with IBM. I worked hard, travelled frequently and had to check hotel menus often enough to find out what city I was in! There was always a bar and a restaurant downstairs and the temptation the anonymity offered was often too much for me to deny. Anyway, I valued the sanctuary of my home and my own bed along with the indulgence of silk sheets. I know! You thought it was the other way around and that I did all my catting on my silk sheets…hahaha! Well, sometimes I was indiscriminate and I did. But, my silk sheets were like my little self-indulgence, like Belgium Chocolate, Irish butter and Chevas Brothers Lochan Ora. Some things were just for me. Anymore, after thirty years of marriage, I am afraid we would find ourselves slipped to the floor like molten lava if we slept on silk sheets.

What are you wearing?

Listen to you! I have my hair pulled into a ponytail and a red ribbon. I am in a spaghetti strapped black summer shift (it is nearing 90 here in SWFL on this early morning with the sun reflecting off of the pool) and I'm barefoot. My face is scrubbed and I am not wearing any undies, not even a thong! There are blessings to an empty nest!

What are we snacking on in bed while we read tonight?

Oh, hot tea and cold chocolate. Belgium chocolate melts so evenly and deliciously in bed. It is never far from my nightstand. Something’s never change. Even though there are no more silk sheets, there is always Belgium chocolate and Cristal Champagne, the Wine of Tsars and Stars, both of which I am, or can be, in bed.

If I open this nightstand drawer, what will I find?

You are a Nosey Nellie!! And there are two: one may have a fun pack and the other just the remote and not too virginal vibrating balls! Let’s just go for the fun pack and hang the suspense! As you would expect, there are extension cords and spare batteries (just in case), a few favorite toys (some are the dog's!), the real stash is in the dresser (!) and a .38 snub-nosed revolver and no it is not a “Midnight Special”. There are creams and ointments and my collections of silk and satin scarves, a throwback from my traveling days.

Do you roll up in the blankets like a burrito, or kick the covers off during the night?

I sleep on my back, open to the night, my dreams and inspiration floating in from any source. In Florida, I sleep in light shorty lingerie without blankets. In the north, I curl up, my husband tells me, near the foot of the bed wrapped in the warming comfort of velour blankets. My blood has gotten thinner down here and I have a low tolerance for freezing temperatures anymore. But, I do have to admit, it is certainly more conductive to warm-up sex!

Can I put my cold feet on your calves to warm them up?

Yes, you can, and please do. But you will pay for the convenience, in a big way, and perhaps more than once! Clearly, we have to get your blood warmed up and moving around and around—even back and forth! Although, you might consider a cold-toe fuck, another fine way to warm up your pinkies.

What are we reading? (include your cover art, buy links & excerpt)

Let’s curl up together (after all, we have been friends for a long time!), read, and maybe roll-play some saucy little highlights from this randy boxed set, 'Coming in Hot', written with some of my dearest, most talented friends. Here, let's read an excerpt from my novella featured in the collection. C'mere...
Everyone gets what they deserve. Everybody knows that.
Hell, it didn’t matter anyway.
It was the wee hours of the morning and Brianna was all alone on the barren, black, wet streets. Curiously, she was unafraid to walk the night between the underbelly of society that lives in the darkness.
It was probably just like the night her sister was murdered. She was probably troubled by the same things—haunted by the depths of her own depravity. The clack-clack-clack of her heels on the sidewalk announced her approach as she headed…where? Home? That was a laugh. It made her think of the first time—her first time, maybe her sister’s first time—on the streets and in the black flesh pits of San Francisco that served up watered down whiskey, easy women and the finest drug connections money could buy, steal or cheat. Shrouded in the black lies hidden by the night, she did whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted and with whomever she wanted. The rain always had that effect, kept the good ones home while the creeps washed out of every skank black hole.
It was like that her first night…and he was a creep. But she did him anyway, holding her breath as he huffed, thrust, and panted into her young pink mouth. She thought of her kid sister. Was he the one?
The police didn’t know and had no more leads. What was she to do? She had to find out; she had to help. At least, she had to try.
But, she got swept away in the trying.
If she had any doubt about what she had become, it vanished with that blow-job stuffed into her sweet Mona Lisa smile. Every night since, her skirts got shorter and the nights longer and the creeps, well, the creeps were all still creeps.
It was getting harder to remember what her kid sister looked like and why she was here. It was getting harder and harder…and easier, too. There were nights she didn’t care who killed her sister and there were nights she could think of little else.
The line between purpose and obsession became obscure.
She could question how she wound up on the streets, but she already knew. It was a matter of choice—her choice—and the men, the trail of men in her life, were a matter of choice too—her choice and hers alone. She picked them; they didn’t pick her. Still…It was just a matter of time before she would call one of those black rat holes home to curl up with the viper that lived within.
There was a wild thought afloat that nothing positive ever happens until you hit the very bottom of the abyss. Nothing positive had even begun to happen in her life. Guess she had further to fall, since she clearly had not hit rock bottom. Could be. Until then, she entertained herself with the fine parade of men. The steady stream of eager lovers had only one thing wrong—there was no love involved. No names, no “what do you do for a living”, no talk about wives, lovers, divorces or kids. Those were her rules and if you wanted to fuck her, you did it on her terms. Clear, simple, no muss no fuss…and no kissing. She didn’t want to kiss the underbelly of society. They were all scumbags and she liked it that way—on the edge, the tight, unforgiving edge.

#MidWeekTease Ethereal Protector - A Wicked Halloween #paranormal #ghost #witch

It's Wednesday again! I hope you'll consider dropping 99 cents for 13 spooky tales set in Salem. Salem's never been hotter! Here's an excerpt from my contribution, Ethereal Protector.

Facebook -  Amazon - All Romance Ebooks - Nook - iBooks - Kobo
Smashwords - Naughty Nights Press - Goodreads

Summer left the church in a huff. Did she really believe she could be part of this community? She was wrong. They pretended to accept her for now, but any day they would turn on her, accuse her, string her up to hang.
She looked over her shoulder several times as she took the path away from her home and into the woods. There was a circle a mile away that would be perfect for grounding herself. No one followed her, and when she arrived she stripped down to her shift and unbound her hair. She danced in the moonlight, praying and chanting, seeking the hand of the Mother, the source of her magic, the spark that made life more than a tedious chore.
The town folk would see it as dancing with the devil, courting evil, but it was nothing of the sort. She was reaching into the earth, into life itself, and embracing it. There was no evil here, no devil, no God either. Just life and the beautiful circles it made.
Finishing such a circle, she stopped with her arms in the air, reaching toward the full moon. It seemed she had caught it between her hands.
A swish of grass made her jump. She ran to her clothes and held them to herself, trying to cover her nakedness.
“I didn’t mean to scare you.” Geoffrey entered the moonlit meadow, hands spread wide. “That was beautiful.”
Yanking her dress on and using her apron to hold it without buttons, she rounded on him. “You fool boy. Do you know what might happen if they caught you here? Bad enough they come for me, but I’m just a widow. You have parents, sisters. They need you.”
“I need you.” He came close enough to touch her hair. “You looked like an angel, and I could feel something building and growing.”
She closed her eyes and waited for her first reactions to die down. Yelling at him would accomplish nothing. “That would be magic. Now, go tell them I’m a witch and let’s have this done.”
His eyes widened and he took hold of her shoulders, pulling her into a tight hug. “Never! You’re a witch, but I love you, Mary. I am going to protect you.”

As an aside to my fellow teasers, I'm looking for some help promoting the new Blue Moon House issue releasing September 4. If you'd have room for me on your blog that week, could you mention it in the comments? I'll find you by email. :)
